Installation Steps

Step 1: The washing machine should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the water supply should be shut off.

Step 2: The washer should be gently tilted back to access the bottom of the unit. Assistance might be needed to accomplish this.

Step 3: The old GE WH01X30057 LOCK BAR should be taken out by loosening the screws that secure it. The original assembly should be observed to ensure the new one is installed in the same manner.

Step 4: After the screws are loosened, the bar should be carefully detached from the machine. It should be noted that some friction may be present due to lubricant in the area.

Step 5: The new lock bar should be positioned into the designated hole in the frame. It should be fastened using the screws that were previously removed. Confirmation should be made that the bar is tight and aligned with the frame.

Step 6: The washing machine should be returned to its upright position and the new lock bar should be tested to verify that it is secure and functioning correctly.

The GE WH01X30057 LOCK BAR has now been successfully replaced!
