The General Electric WH01X29528 Washer Door Lock is designed to lock the door during the wash cycle so as not to be opened when the washer is in operation. Step 1: The washing machine is disconnected from its electrical outlet. If the unit is positioned near a wall, it is shifted away to access the rear.
