The General Electric WH01X24381 Washer Lid Lock Bezel controls the component actuator as the appliance closes, maintaining the locking mechanism aligned with the strike point and controlling the latch system during cycle start. It is installed on the top control area of washers, surrounding the lid lock opening within the console panel where the bezel fits into the molded cutout. It supports the movement and seating of the lock assembly by maintaining the correct position between the lid strike and locking tab, allowing the mechanism to transition between locked and unlocked states during operation cycles.
