Installation Steps

Step 1: To begin, your washing machine should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the water supply valves should be shut.

Step 2: Subsequently, the access panel should be removed and the required tools such as a Phillips screwdriver, hex wrench set, pliers, and a pocket knife should be gathered.

Step 3: With the Phillips screwdriver, the screws that secure the drum and tub assembly should be detached.

Step 4: Now the motor pulley should be extracted from the back of the washer and the GE Set Screw Pulley Motor Assembly should be located.

Step 5: Gently the set screw that secures the GE Set Screw Pulley Motor Assembly should be unscrewed using a hex wrench.

Step 6: The faulty motor assembly should be removed and set aside.

Step 7: The new WH01X10608 GE Set Screw Pulley Motor Assembly should be obtained and placed into position.

Step 8: Next, it should be tightened with the set screw, ensuring that the threads are aligned correctly.

Step 9: The motor pulley should be reinserted into the designated area at the rear of the washer.

Step 10: The screws should be replaced to secure the drum and tub assembly and the access panel should be reattached.

Step 11: The water supply valves should be opened again and finally the power supply to your washing machine should be turned on.
