Installation Steps

Step 1: The GE washer's power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The rear side of the washer is reached by tilting it forward and positioning a sturdy board or similar support while work is done (ideally with two individuals). The back panel is detached.

Step 3: The large bolt that secures the motor bracket is loosened utilizing an adjustable wrench.

Step 4: The motor along with the drive belts is gently lowered from the bracket, with their original positions being observed.

Step 5: The old drive belt is removed from the pulley.

Step 6: The new drive belt is installed onto the pulley, with proper centering being ensured.

Step 7: The motor and the drive belts are lifted back into the bracket and fastened with the large bolt.

Step 8: The washer's back panel is reattached and cautiously returned to its vertical position.

Step 9: The power cord is reconnected to the outlet and the washer is tested to verify the new drive belt operates correctly.

Please remember, these instructions are served as general guidance and should always be followed alongside the manufacturer's manual, if accessible.
