Installation Steps
Step 2: The filter is to be identified. Typically, the filter can be found at the rear of the refrigerator, either near the bottom or underneath. If it is unable to be found, your refrigerator’s user manual is to be consulted for additional details.
Step 3: The water supply is to be disabled. Prior to proceeding, the water supply that services the refrigerator’s ice maker and water dispenser is to be shut off. This is generally accomplished by turning the valve or knob located on the wall behind the refrigerator.
Step 4: The filter is to be extracted. The filter housing cover is to be detached by unscrewing it, then the old filter is to be carefully removed.
Step 5: The new filter is to be placed. The new filter is to be positioned into the housing, making sure that the arrows on the filter are oriented correctly. After insertion, the filter housing cover is to be firmly secured.
Step 6: The system is to be purged. Following the filter replacement, the water supply is to be turned on and several gallons of water are to be let flow through the new filter before the refrigerator’s water dispenser is utilized.
Step 7: The filter indicator is to be restored. If a filter change indicator is included in your refrigerator, it is to be restored by pressing and holding the “Reset” button until the indicator light goes off.
Please note that these instructions are to serve as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if accessible.
