The General Electric WE9X38 Dryer Felt Seal Assembly reduces air leakage between the drum and cabinet during rotation of the appliance. It is installed around the drum opening area inside the appliance and attaches to the inner front or rear bulkhead using an adhesive or mechanical fastening. The felt layer forms a continuous contact barrier that allows smooth drum movement while maintaining internal airflow control. By limiting heat and air loss and supporting stable drum rotation, it enables consistent drying performance, temperature regulation, and overall cycle operation during normal application use.
