Product Description
The General Electric WE4X857 Dryer Thermal Fuse is used to monitor and control excessive temperatures in the heating chamber of the appliance. It is attached in series with the heating element assembly and is mounted to the blower housing or ductwork and connects with the wiring harness of the dryer internally. Programmed to react to the temperature of the heating coil and the thermal fuse coordinates with the cycling thermostat and the control board to control the flow of electric current, keeping the temperature constant, and ensuring that the regular drying cycles are not overheated.
