Installation Steps

Step 1: Set Up Your Work Space – Prior to starting the replacement of the GE WE4X692 DUAL COIL ELEMENT, it is essential for your environment to be arranged by clearing away any flammable materials and donning protective equipment like safety goggles and gloves.

Step 2: Cut Off Power – Subsequently, the power supply to the range must be severed to eliminate any risk of electric shock or injury. This is typically done by disconnecting the unit from its outlet or switching off the circuit breaker at the main electrical panel.

Step 3: Gain Access To The Coil Element – With the power disconnected, the control panel located at the front of the range should be found. At this point, the screws holding the access panel in place should be taken out and it should be gently lifted away to reveal the element.

Step 4: Extract The Current Element – The element should be switched to the “off” setting, then a socket wrench should be utilized to unscrew the nuts surrounding the element and it should be detached from the range.

Step 5: Position The New Element – The new GE WE4X692 dual coil element should be installed in place of the old one, ensuring that the wires are correctly attached to the terminals.

Step 6: Fasten The Element – The socket wrench should be employed to tighten the nuts, ensuring they are securely fastened.

Step 7: Validate The Element – The element should be switched to the “on” position and allowed to run for a few minutes to confirm that it heats up correctly.

Step 8: Reattach The Access Panel – Lastly, the access panel should be put back in position and secured using the original screws. The GE WE4X692 DUAL COIL ELEMENT has now been effectively replaced.
