Installation Steps

Step 1: Power to your furnace at the main service panel is disconnected.

Step 2: The existing thermostat is found and detached from the wall. The connections for the wall wires on the old thermostat are noted.

Step 3: For the WE4M137, the red wire is attached to the RH terminal, the white wire to the W terminal, the yellow wire to the Y terminal, the green wire to the G terminal, and the blue wire to the C terminal.

Step 4: The new thermostat is affixed to the wall and the cover is put back in place.

Step 5: Power to the furnace at the main service panel is restored.

Step 6: The fan switch is adjusted to AUTO and the heat/cool selector to HEAT.

Step 7: Your preferred temperature is set and the unit's operation is verified.
