Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the Dryer – Prior to commencing any repair work on the dryer, it should be disconnected from the power supply to guarantee your safety.

Step 2: Detach the Top Panel – In order to reach the drum and belt, the top panel must be detached. One or two screws situated at the rear of the top panel should be located, which may also include mounting clips.

Step 3: Extract the Drum – The drum is generally fastened to the rear of the dryer using a series of screws. After the screws are removed, the drum should be pulled forward and out of the dryer.

Step 4: Install the Belt – An existing belt should be present on the drum. This should be removed and disposed of. Next, the new GE WE12X27300 belt should be taken and begun at one end of the motor, wrapping it around the pulley. It should ensure that the belt is correctly positioned within the grooves of the drum.

Step 5: Reconstruct – After the belt is correctly positioned, reconstruction can be begun. The drum should be reinserted and secured with the screws. Then, the top panel should be reattached, ensuring that all screws and mounting clips are properly fastened.

Step 6: Conduct a Test – The dryer should be reconnected to its power source and a test should be conducted. It should be verified that the belt is moving smoothly and that the dryer functions correctly.
