The General Electric WE04X21014 Dryer Knob is used to control settings on the user interface. This component attaches to the control shaft and allows selection of drying cycles, time settings and operational options. It works the primary manual input interface for operating the appliance and enables adjustment of settings such as temperature, cycle mode and drying duration. Step 1: The appliance should be disconnected from the electrical outlet, then the gas and water supply to the unit should be turned off.
Step 2: The screws securing the current GE WE04X21014 Knob should be taken out and it should be detached from the oven. Next, access to the internal components of the oven should be gained.
Step 3: The wires linked to the old knob should be identified and gently detached.
Step 4: The new replacement knob should be positioned in the same location and the wires should be attached to it.
Step 5: The knob should be fastened using the screws and the oven’s paneling should be reinstalled.
Step 6: Once the paneling is back in place, the appliance should be reconnected to the electrical outlet, the gas and water supply should be turned on, and the new knob should be tested to ensure it functions correctly.
