Installation Steps
Step 1: The GE dryer is disconnected from the electrical outlet and the cabinet top is taken off to reach the timer assembly.
Step 2: With a 1/4" nut driver, the screws securing the main timer knob are loosened and detached from the timer shaft.
Step 3: The two screws that secure the timer assembly are taken out and the timer is gently extracted.
Step 4: The new GE WE01X24552 timer knob is placed onto the timer shaft, ensuring that all four connector pins are aligned with their corresponding slots at the rear of the new knob.
Step 5: The new GE WE01X24552 timer knob is fastened by securely tightening the two screws located on the back of the timer.
Step 6: The new timer is carefully reinstalled into the dryer by inserting the two screws that were previously removed.
Step 7: The cabinet top of the dryer is reattached.
Step 8: The dryer is reconnected to the wall outlet and the power is switched on.
