Step 1: The power supply to your dryer should be deactivated by either unplugging the unit or turning off the circuit breaker that supplies electricity to it.
Step 2: The current knob assembly should be taken out. The fasteners located on the lower panel of the dryer should be unscrewed. Next, the panel should be detached to expose the control knob assembly. The wiring harness should be disconnected from the rear of the knob assembly and the old Knob should be taken out.
Step 3: The new WE01X22616 GE Dryer Control Knob Assembly should be positioned. The wiring harness should be reattached and the Knob should be fastened using the screws that were taken out in step #2.
Step 4: The bottom panel of your dryer should be reinstalled and the power should be restored. The Knob should be verified for correct functionality.
