Installation Steps
Step 1: The required tools should be collected: a new GE WD24X29378 High Loop Drain Hose, slip-joint pliers, adjustable wrench, and Teflon tape.
Step 2: The water supply to the washing machine should be turned off, then the water supply hoses should be detached.
Step 3: A bucket should be positioned beneath the hose connection to catch any water that might leak out.
Step 4: Slip-joint pliers should be utilized to loosen the clamp that holds the old drain hose to the washer and it should be carefully removed.
Step 5: Teflon tape should be applied around the threads of the new drain hose fitting.
Step 6: The new hose should be firmly connected to the washer using an adjustable wrench.
Step 7: The water supply hoses should be reattached and the water supply should be restored.
Step 8: Leaks should be inspected for and the connection should be adjusted as necessary.
Step 9: A cycle should be executed to verify that the new drain hose is functioning correctly.
