Installation Steps

Step 1: Your dishwasher should be disconnected from the power source and any water or dishes present inside should be removed.

Step 2: The two screws located on the exterior of the lower access panel at the bottom center of the dishwasher should be taken out with a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 3: The access panel should be lowered to detach it, then it should be shifted away from the dishwasher.

Step 4: The spray arm mount situated in the center of the dishwasher, recognizable by its circular form and unique ridges, should be identified.

Step 5: A pair of pliers should be employed to detach the hose clamps from both the upper and lower spray arms. If any corrosion is present around the clamp region, it might need to be scraped off to facilitate their removal.

Step 6: The upper and lower spray arms should be gently extracted.

Step 7: The mounting clip should be extracted by cautiously prying it off using a flathead screwdriver.

Step 8: The faulty spray arm weld (WD22X10055 GE Dishwasher Spray Arm Weld) should be taken out and substituted with a new component. It should ensure that it is firmly secured to the mounting clip.

Step 9: The mounting clip should be reassembled and the upper and lower spray arms should be reinstalled.

Step 10: The hose clamps for both spray arms should be reattached.

Step 11: The lower access panel should be reinstalled and fastened with the two Phillips head screws.

Step 12: Your dishwasher should be plugged back in and a test run should be performed.
