Installation Steps

Step 1: The dishwasher power cord should be disconnected and the water supply turned off.

Step 2: The GE dishwasher should be slid away from the wall and flipped over to expose the bottom panel. A Phillips-head screwdriver should be used to take out the screws securing the panel.

Step 3: The flood float assembly, which resembles a triangular black plastic box located at the back of the dishwasher, should be found. A socket wrench should be employed to remove the two bolts that hold the box in place.

Step 4: The old flood float should be gently detached from the assembly. It will be connected to a wire harness. The wire harness should be unplugged from the float.

Step 5: The new flood float should be placed into the assembly and attached to the wire harness.

Step 6: With a socket wrench, the assembly should be fastened by tightening the two bolts.

Step 7: The bottom panel should be reattached and secured using the screws.

Step 8: The dishwasher should be stood upright and the power cord reconnected. The water supply should be restored and the dishwasher cycle initiated.

Your GE dishwasher flood float should now be successfully replaced. If any unforeseen problems are faced, a certified technician should be contacted for assistance.

Please remember that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be used alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
