Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to your GE dishwasher should be disconnected. To avoid the risk of inadvertently activating the machine while the feed tube adapter is being changed, it is crucial for it to be disconnected prior to commencing the repair.

Step 2: The dishwasher should be moved away from the wall and the door should be opened. This action will grant access to the rear section of the appliance.

Step 3: The WD18X10051 GE Rear Feed Tube Adapter should be identified. The feed tube adapter will be found positioned at the back of the dishwasher near the bottom.

Step 4: The screws securing the feed tube adapter should be removed. It should ensure that all screws are taken out from the dishwasher before an attempt is made to detach the feed tube adapter.

Step 5: The old feed tube adapter should be gently extracted.

Step 6: The new WD18X10051 GE Rear Feed Tube Adapter should be placed into the same spot. It should be confirmed that the screw holes align with those used for the previous feed tube adapter.

Step 7: The screws that are fastening the feed tube adapter should be secured.

Step 8: The dishwasher should be slid back into its original position against the wall.
