Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to the sump pump should be deactivated. The power cable should be disconnected from the outlet or the circuit breaker should be switched off.

Step 2: The sump basin should be emptied by detaching the outflow pipe from the pump inlet.

Step 3: The old sump inlet should be extracted by loosening the clamp that secures it in position.

Step 4: Lubricant should be applied to the new GE Sump Inlet as well as to the area of the sump pump housing where the new inlet will be fitted.

Step 5: The new GE Sump Inlet should be secured using the screws provided in the packaging. It should ensure that the inlet is firmly fixed to the pump housing.

Step 6: The outflow pipe should be reconnected to the new inlet and it should be verified that all pipes are tightened with clamps.

Step 7: The sump pump should be returned to the basin and water should be added to conduct a test.

Step 8: The power should be reactivated and it should be confirmed that the new GE Sump Inlet is functioning correctly.

Please be aware that these guidelines serve as general advice and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if accessible.
