The General Electric WD12X23617 Dishwasher Upper Rack Rail Cap secures the exposed end of the upper rack rail to maintain smooth rack movement and protect the rail structure during operation. It is installed at the termination point of the upper rack support track, where it interfaces with the rail end and cabinet sidewall through a snap-fit or press-fit attachment. The cap configuration maintains proper rail alignment while preventing direct contact between moving rack components and the cabinet interior. It supports dishwashing cycles through controlled upper rack control and movement within the wash chamber.
