Installation Steps

Step 1: Your GE Dishwasher should be disconnected from the power source.

Step 2: The water supply line should be shut off and detached from the dishwasher.

Step 3: The dishwasher door should be opened and any dishes and utensils that might be present should be taken out.

Step 4: Utilizing a putty knife or similar flat tool, the edge of the lower dishrack should be lifted to reveal the lower rack rear roller.

Step 5: Any screws that are holding the roller in position should be removed and taken out.

Step 6: The old roller should be taken out, then a new roller should be inserted into the same location.

Step 7: The new roller should be fastened using the screws that were taken out in step 5.

Step 8: The side of the lower dishrack should be repositioned back into its original position.

Step 9: The dishwasher should be reconnected to the outlet and the water supply should be turned on.

Step 10: The roller should be verified by pushing and pulling the lower dishrack. If it operates smoothly, the replacement was successful.
