Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord of the dishwasher should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The dishwasher's lower door should be opened. On either side of the bottom door, two Phillips screws that secure the handle to the door should be located. The Phillips screwdriver should be utilized to take out these screws.

Step 3: Once the screws are out, the handle should be extracted directly from the door. This action will detach the inside panel of the door, revealing the gasket seal. The existing gasket seal should now be visible behind the panel.

Step 4: With a flat head screwdriver, the gasket seal should be carefully lifted away from the dishwasher door's frame. This will detach the existing seal from the frame.

Step 5: The existing gasket seal should be removed from the door frame.

Step 6: The WD08X10075 GE Dishwasher Bottom Door Gasket Seal – Short should be placed into the door frame in the same location as the previous gasket seal. The new seal should be firmly pressed into position to ensure it is secure.

Step 7: The inside panel and handle should be reattached to the dishwasher door, fastening the handle with the Phillips screws that were removed in step two.

Step 8: The dishwasher should be reconnected to the outlet and the new gasket seal should be evaluated by running a complete cycle. Any indications of water leakage during or after the cycle concludes should be monitored.

Please remember that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if one is available.
