Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to the sump pump should be deactivated and the electrical connections from the sump pump should be detached.

Step 2: The check valve should be removed from the pipe by loosening the two nuts located on either side of the valve.

Step 3: A bucket should be positioned beneath the sump pump to collect any remaining water and the old check valve should be taken out.

Step 4: The new GE WD01X22514 SCR 10-32 GX IHXW 9/16 Sump Pump Check Valve should be obtained and the two pipe connection points should be matched with the two exposed ends.

Step 5: The new check valve should be fastened by tightening the two nuts on either side of the valve with an adjustable wrench.

Step 6: The electrical connections should be reattached to the sump pump.

Step 7: The power should be turned back on to the sump pump.
