Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to the dishwasher is to be disconnected by either unplugging the device or switching off the circuit breaker at the main electrical panel.

Step 2: The dishwasher is to be extracted from its cabinet and positioned on a level surface.

Step 3: The current countertop mounting bracket is to be detached by removing the two screws located on the side of the bracket.

Step 4: The latch situated at the top of the dishwasher is to be released to gain easy access to the interior. This is typically accomplished by inserting a putty knife between the dishwasher's top and the countertop and applying pressure.

Step 5: The new GE WD01X21740 countertop mounting bracket is to be positioned correctly. It is to be ensured that all four connection points where the bracket's ledge meets the dishwasher are firmly secured.

Step 6: The latch at the top of the dishwasher is to be reattached, and then the bracket is to be fastened to the countertop using the two screws included.

Step 7: The dishwasher is to be slid back into its original location and any additional screws are to be tightened.

Step 8: The power to the dishwasher is to be reconnected by plugging the unit back into an outlet or turning the circuit breaker back on at the main electrical panel.

It is important to note that these instructions are to serve as general guidance and should always be referenced alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
