Installation Steps

Step 1: The GE WD01X10340 Bearing Spray Arm is detached.

To detach the bearing spray arm, the water supply to your appliance is shut off. Next, the dishwasher’s upper spray arm is removed by pressing inward and twisting it counter-clockwise until it is separated. After it is removed, the nut securing the bearing spray arm to the lower spray arm is unscrewed and taken off using a nut driver or a large adjustable wrench.

Step 2: The Bearing Spray Arm is installed.

The new bearing spray arm is found and positioned on the lower spray arm. The nut is reattached with a nut driver or an adjustable wrench, being tightened until it is securely fastened. Finally, the upper spray arm is connected by pressing inward and rotating it clockwise until it is clicked into position.

Step 3: Your repair is verified.

The water supply to the appliance is activated and a cycle is initiated to confirm that the new bearing spray arm operates correctly. If the new bearing spray arm fails to move, adjustment may be required. To adjust the bearing spray arm, a flathead screwdriver is simply used to insert into the existing hole and rotate, either clockwise or counter-clockwise, based on the desired direction for your bearing spray arm to spin.

Congratulations! The GE WD01X10340 bearing spray arm has been successfully replaced.
