Product Description

The General Electric WB44T10060 Range Oven Bake Heating Element produces and emits thermal energy to be used to bake inside the cavity. It is mounted at the bottom rear interior part of the oven chamber, whereby it is connected to the wiring harness and control circuits of the range using specified terminals. The element has been designed to fit on oven mounting points and adjacent insulation. Through the change of electrical power into controlled heat production and uniform thermal distribution, it assists in the control of bake temperatures, as well as normal operation cycles of cooking.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The oven's power supply should be disconnected at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

Step 2: The oven door should be opened. All racks and items located within the oven should be taken out. Plugging in the oven during the repair process should be avoided.

Step 3: The element situated at the bottom of the oven should be identified and the screws fastening the element to the oven should be taken out using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 4: The old bake element should be extracted, paying attention to the connection points and the wiring configuration.

Step 5: The mounting screws from the new bake element should be removed utilizing a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 6: The wires from the main oven wiring harness should be threaded through the element opening and they should be reconnected as the old element was wired. The connections should be ensured secure, as this is crucial for safe operation.

Step 7: The new bake element should be fastened to the oven with the Phillips head screws.

Step 8: The power to the oven should be reactivated and your installation should be verified by activating the oven's bake function for a few minutes.

Step 9: If the oven operates correctly, all racks inside the oven should be reinstalled.

Step 10: With the oven now repaired, relaxation can be had, assured that any future repairs will be conducted safely and with the appropriate parts.
