Installation Steps

Step 1: The stove is disconnected from the wall outlet.

Step 2: The grates are taken out, if necessary, and placed in a safe location.

Step 3: The fasteners found around the perimeter of the cooktop are unscrewed.

Step 4: The cooktop is gently elevated upward and away from the stove.

Step 5: Any wires connected to the element are detached and kept for later reconnection.

Step 6: The GE WB30T10099 ELEMENT RADIANT 9IN DUAL is identified and the mounting screws are taken off.

Step 7: The old element is extracted and the new one is positioned.

Step 8: The new element is fastened using the mounting screws.

Step 9: Any wiring that was previously disconnected is reattached.

Step 10: The cooktop is reinstalled onto the stove and secured with the previously saved screws.

Step 11: The grates are reinserted, if necessary, and the stove is reconnected to the wall outlet.
