Installation Steps

Step 1: The power to your oven should be disconnected prior to starting the repair. This can be achieved by either unplugging the unit from the wall or deactivating the relevant switch on the main power supply circuit.

Step 2: The screws securing the oven’s bottom access panel should be extracted. The flathead or Phillips head screwdriver should be utilized to detach the panel and expose the orifice spud.

Step 3: The current orifice spud should be taken out using your hands. The spud should be handled with care to avoid any damage.

Step 4: Your replacement GE WB28K10834 ORIFICE SPUD should be grabbed and gently positioned into the opening. It should be confirmed that the spud is firmly seated in the hole before proceeding to the next step.

Step 5: After the spud is properly positioned, the Phillips head screwdriver should be used to secure the oven’s bottom access panel back in place.

Step 6: The oven’s power supply should be reactivated and the functionality of the appliance should be verified by adjusting the temperature and allowing the oven to warm up.

The GE WB28K10834 Orifice Spud has now been successfully swapped! For optimal performance, all maintenance and repairs on your oven should be conducted regularly.

Please remember, these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be followed alongside the manufacturer’s manual, if it is accessible.
