Product Description

The General Electric WB26X28935 Range Microwave Diode Cable is used in connecting the high-voltage diode with the appliance power circuitry within over-the-appliance cooking systems. It is used to conduct electrical energy between high-voltage components in a generating system of microwave energy and heating. The cable is led internally in the electrical compartment and attached to terminals close to the capacitor and transformer assembly to provide a transfer of signal and power. It has insulated wiring that provides controlled routing of electrical flow over heating cycles and facilitates the maintenance of communication between high-voltage components.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the appliance from power. Prior to initiating any repairs on your microwave, it is essential for it to be disconnected from the power source. Safety is ensured as paramount when working with electrical devices.

Step 2: Identify the diode cable. To locate the diode cable, access the panel situated on the rear side of the microwave. A small connector with two wires attached should be observed. This is the diode cable.

Step 3: Detach the existing diode cable. The two wires linked to the old diode cable should be gently extracted. The color of each wire should be remembered for the accurate connection of the new one. A pair of needle nose pliers is advisable for this task.

Step 4: Position the new diode cable. After the old cable has been taken out, the new one can be placed. The two wires should be attached to the new diode cable. The cable should be reinserted into its original placement and the wires connected to the terminals. All connections should be ensured as secure.

Step 5: Verify the microwave's operation. Once the new diode cable is in place, the appliance should be reconnected to the power source and its functionality checked. If all is functioning as expected, heating and cooking should be performed properly by the microwave.
