Installation Steps

Step 1: The appliance's power should be turned off. It should ensure that any power cords connected to the appliance are disconnected, or the breaker supplying power to it is deactivated.

Step 2: The back panel should be taken off from the appliance. Depending on your model, it may simply be clipped in, or a few screws might need to be removed to detach the panel.

Step 3: The GE WB20K10027 Temperature Sensor should be found and recognized. It might appear different from the image, but the same wiring connections should still be featured.

Step 4: The wiring harness lead connected to the sensor should be detached. The wires should be pulled straight upward and off, avoiding any twisting during removal.

Step 5: The two screws, or any other fasteners, securing the sensor in place should be taken out.

Step 6: The faulty GE WB20K10027 Temperature Sensor should be extracted and disposed of.

Step 7: The new GE WB20K10027 Temperature Sensor should be positioned into place. The two screws, or other fasteners, should be reinserted.

Step 8: The wiring harness lead should be reattached to the sensor, ensuring it fits snugly.

Step 9: The back panel should be reinstalled and secured firmly.

Step 10: Power should be restored to the appliance and the unit should be checked to confirm it is functioning correctly.

Please note, these instructions are served as general guidance and should always be referenced alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
