Product Description

The General Electric WB13K21 Range Oven Ignitor 3-3/4" 7" leads operates through the production of heat to burn the gas once an electric current has been passed through it. The working process of the ignitor is to open the gas valve and the burner is lit when the temperature is high enough. These include the ability to ignite the stove easily, elimination of the risk of gas accumulation and consistent cooking.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The oven's power supply should be disconnected by unplugging it. For units that are hard-wired, the circuit breaker should be switched off before maintenance is performed.

Step 2: The oven racks and any other contents inside the oven should be taken out.

Step 3: The oven door should be opened and the ignitor located at the bottom of the oven on the rear wall should be found.

Step 4: The fasteners that secure the ignitor should be unscrewed.

Step 5: The ignitor should be extracted and examined for any signs of damage or corrosion. If either condition is found, the ignitor should be replaced.

Step 6: To fit the new ignitor, it should be placed in the same position as the previous one and fastened using the screws that were previously removed.

Step 7: The oven should be reconnected by plugging it in or power should be restored by turning the circuit breaker back on.

Step 8: The ignitor's functionality should be verified by setting the oven to broil and pressing the start button. The new ignitor should heat up and emit a bright orange glow within a few minutes. If it fails to do so, the connections should be inspected and an attempt should be made again.

Step 9: The oven racks and any other items that were taken out should be reinserted, and you are finished.

Please note that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be followed alongside the manufacturer's manual, if it is accessible.
