Installation Steps

Step 1: The GE microwave oven should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and all internal components, including the turntable and tray, should be taken out.

Step 2: The screws found at the top of the unit that hold the vent damper in position should be removed. The vent damper should be gently detached from its location.

Step 3: The old vent damper should be inspected for any signs of damage, such as rust or corrosion. Should any damage be found, the complete vent damper assembly should be substituted.

Step 4: For the installation of the new vent damper, it should be positioned with the two mounting brackets and the four screws should be placed. The screws should be secured until the vent damper is tightly fastened.

Step 5: Lastly, all internal components should be put back in place and the microwave oven should be reconnected to the wall outlet. It should ensure that the vent damper operates correctly before using the oven.

Please remember, these instructions are served as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if one is available.
