Product Description

The General Electric WB02X11544 Range Charcoal Filter effectively absorbs grease and odors from the air in range hoods. It works by trapping smoke and particles while allowing clean air to circulate back into the kitchen. The filter uses activated charcoal to neutralize airborne impurities through a physical adsorption process. This helps maintain a fresher, more pleasant cooking environment. It also reduces the buildup of grease, improving the longevity and performance of the appliance efficiently.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The microwave is disconnected from the electrical outlet. It is crucial for the power supply to be severed to ensure the appliance is not energized during any repair procedures.

Step 2: The front faceplate and grille are taken off. The fasteners securing the plate and grille are unscrewed using a Phillips head screwdriver, then they are carefully detached.

Step 3: The current charcoal filter is examined. The charcoal filter is situated at the upper section of the housing, concealed behind the faceplate and grille. Should the filter show signs of damage or be past its operational lifespan, replacement is required.

Step 4: The old filter is extracted. The current charcoal filter is gently removed by pulling on the tabs located on both sides of the filter.

Step 5: The new charcoal filter is placed. The new WB02X11544 GE Microwave Charcoal Filter is taken and positioned into the designated space in the housing, ensuring the tabs are oriented downward. The filter is firmly and evenly pushed into the space until it is flush with the housing.

Step 6: The front faceplate and grille are reattached. After the new filter is securely installed, the front faceplate and grille are carefully put back, and the screws are tightened.

Step 7: The microwave is reconnected to the power supply. Once the new filter is in place and the front faceplate is secured, the appliance is plugged back in to restore electricity to the unit.
