Installation Steps

Step 1: Your appliance should be disconnected from the power source and the electricity should be turned off prior to commencing the repair.

Step 2: Your appliance door should be accessed and any screws fastening the latch assembly to the door frame should be taken out.

Step 3: A flat-head screwdriver should be positioned into the grooves on both sides of the latch assembly and it should be carefully levered away from the frame.

Step 5: The new WB02K10144 GE Door Latch Assembly should be obtained and the electrical plug should be connected into the receptacle.

Step 6: The latch assembly should be aligned within the door frame and it should be fastened using any screws that were removed earlier.

Step 7: It should be verified that the electrical connector is securely attached and that the latch assembly is tightly fastened to the frame.

Step 8: After ensuring everything is reassembled, the power cord should be reconnected and the appliance should be turned back on.
