The Whirlpool W11673272 is a replacement thermostat for Whirlpool refrigerators. A thermostat is an essential component that controls the temperature within the appliance. It functions as a control switch, constantly monitoring the refrigerator's internal temperature and transmitting signals to the compressor and evaporator fan. When the temperature climbs above the required level, the thermostat activates the compressor, starting the cooling cycle. When the temperature reaches the predetermined point, the thermostat instructs the compressor to turn off, ensuring a constant and appropriate temperature for food storage. A broken thermostat can cause a range of difficulties in your Whirlpool refrigerator. If the fridge isn't cold enough, your food may spoil.
