The Whirlpool W11436851 Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly is an entire solution for restoring or adding automatic ice production to your compatible Whirlpool refrigerator's top freezer section. It comprises all of the necessary components, including the ice maker itself, a dedicated ice bin for storing the created cubes, a water valve to control water flow, and installation hardware and instructions.When fitted, the ice maker fills the mold with water via the water valve. As the water freezes, the ice maker recognizes the entire ice cube and initiates a harvest cycle, ejecting the cubes into the ice bin below. This cycle is then repeated, maintaining an ongoing supply of fresh ice.
