Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the ice maker water supply should be deactivated.

Step 2: The water filter cartridge located at the back of the refrigerator should be found. This cartridge will appear as a cylindrical item with the model number W11395888 marked on it.

Step 3: The refrigerator door should be opened and the screws securing the cartridge should be taken out.

Step 4: The old cartridge should be extracted and disposed of, making sure that all associated parts and filters are also removed and discarded.

Step 5: The new cartridge should be grabbed and the plastic cap should be taken off.

Step 6: The cartridge should be positioned so that the holes on the bottom align with the openings on the refrigerator.

Step 7: The new cartridge should be inserted and the screws should be reinstalled to firmly secure the new cartridge.

Step 8: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the electrical outlet and the ice maker water supply should be activated.

Step 9: The water should be allowed to run for three to five minutes to clear out any remaining sediment or impurities that might be present.

Step 10: Ultimately, once the refrigerator is operating smoothly again, your refreshingly clean and cold drinking water should be relished!
