Installation Steps

Step 1: The dishwasher should be disconnected from the power source or the circuit should be deactivated at the breaker panel.

Step 2: The water supply line should be detached from the appliance.

Step 3: The dishwasher door should be lifted and the two screws securing the access panel should be taken out.

Step 4: The access panel should be taken off and the gearcase positioned at the rear of the dishwasher should be located.

Step 5: The screws that secure the cover plate of the gearcase should be extracted and then the plate should be taken off.

Step 6: The mounting bolts that connect the gearcase to the dishwasher should be unscrewed, then it should be carefully pulled free from the unit.

Step 7: The new W11393685 gearcase should be installed. Threadlocker should be applied on the mounting bolts prior to them being secured.

Step 8: The dishwasher should be reassembled by following the previous steps in reverse order.

Step 9: The water supply should be restored and then the power to the dishwasher should be reconnected or activated.

Step 10: A dishwasher cycle should be initiated to confirm that everything operates as expected.
