Installation Steps

Step 1: The dryer is deactivated. The power cord is disconnected from the outlet and the gas supply is turned off if the dryer operates on gas.

Step 2: The lint trap is accessed by opening the dryer door. The lint trap is removed by sliding it out and setting it aside.

Step 3: The two screws located at the top of the cabinet are taken out and the cabinet is detached from the dryer. Access to the drum and the clamp is provided by this action.

Step 4: The wires are separated from the terminal block and any additional components that obstruct access to the clamp assembly are taken off.

Step 5: Once the components are removed, the clamp is identified and the two bolts fastening it to the dryer are loosened.

Step 6: The new clamp is installed in place of the old one and the two bolts are tightened.

Step 7: The terminal block wires and any other components that were previously taken off are reconnected.

Step 8: The cabinet is positioned back into its original location, it is secured using the screws, and the lint trap is reinserted into the dryer.
