Installation Steps

Step 1: Your Whirlpool oven should be turned off and disconnected from the electrical outlet. A cloth or sheet should be laid down on the floor below the stove to prevent any damage from tools or components.

Step 2: The four screws that attach the door to the oven should be identified. Depending on your model, these screws could be positioned at the top of the door near the handle or at the bottom.

Step 3: A Phillips-head screwdriver should be obtained and the screws should be started to be taken out. One by one, each screw should be rotated counterclockwise until it is completely detached.

Step 4: Once all screws are removed, the door should be gently lifted away from the oven body. If needed, a putty knife or flat head screwdriver should be utilized to assist in prying up the edge of the door. The door should be placed in a secure location.

Step 5: The hole designated for the screw insertion should be found. Most Whirlpool oven doors contain two holes, one located near the top and the other near the bottom.

Step 6: The new W10831019 screw should be taken and the unthreaded end should be positioned into the hole. Caution should be exercised to avoid cross-threading the screw within the oven door.

Step 7: The Phillips-head screwdriver should be employed to rotate the screw clockwise until it is felt to be firmly in place.

Step 8: The remaining three screws should be reinserted in the same fashion to attach the door to the oven body securely.

Step 9: The oven should be reconnected to the electrical outlet, and it should be switched back on.

Step 10: The oven door should be verified to ensure the new screw is firmly secured.

Please note that these instructions are intended for general reference and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
