Installation Steps

Step 1: The dryer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the gas supply line linked to the dryer should be turned off if it operates on gas.

Step 2: The two screws situated at the upper part of the dryer door should be taken out, the door should be detached from the appliance, and it should be placed aside.

Step 3: The front panel of the dryer should be removed. It is secured by four screws. After the screws are extracted, the front panel should be taken away from the dryer and set aside.

Step 4: The old gasket-fip that requires replacement should be identified. The gasket-fip is a plastic ring positioned around the perimeter of the dryer drum opening.

Step 5: The clamp that secures the old gasket-fip should be loosened using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 6: The new Whirlpool W10830055 GASKET-FIP should be found and acquired.

Step 7: The new gasket-fip should be positioned into its designated spot. It should ensure that it is correctly seated before proceeding.

Step 8: The clamp included with the new gasket-fip should be utilized to secure it. The screws should be tightened using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 9: The front panel should be reattached to the dryer, securing it with four screws.

Step 10: The dryer door should be reinstalled and fastened using two screws.

Step 11: The dryer should be reconnected to the electrical outlet and the gas supply line should be reactivated if the dryer is a gas model.

The Whirlpool W10830055 GASKET-FIP has now been successfully replaced.
