Installation Steps

Step 1: Your refrigerator should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The location of the water inlet valve should be identified. This valve is generally found at the lower rear section of the refrigerator, situated within the bottom toe-kick panel. If accessing the valve proves challenging, the panel may need to be detached for better access.

Step 3: The water line that is attached to the valve should be observed. The water line should be detached by rotating the nut in a counterclockwise direction.

Step 4: The screws that hold the old water inlet valve to the refrigerator frame should be removed. The valve should be carefully pulled away, being cautious not to damage any nearby components or wiring.

Step 5: The new water inlet valve should be positioned by fastening it to the refrigerator frame with screws. The screws should be secured until the valve is firmly attached.

Step 6: The new inlet valve should be reattached to the water line. The nut should be simply turned in a clockwise direction until it is securely fastened.

Step 7: Power should be restored to your refrigerator and its functionality should be verified. If water is heard flowing within the unit, the water inlet valve has been successfully replaced.
