Installation Steps

Step 1: Your microwave should be disconnected from the electrical outlet. Next, all screws should be taken out from the appliance’s wall trim, utilizing a Phillips screwdriver. Afterward, the microwave should be pulled out until it is fully visible, revealing the mounting bracket on the wall.

Step 2: After the mounting bracket has been successfully detached, the internal components of your microwave will be visible. A flathead screwdriver should be carefully employed to take out the screws that hold the side panels of your appliance. Once these screws have been extracted, the side panels can be slid off to access the inside of your microwave.

Step 3: With access to the internal components of your microwave now available, the old interlock cam plate should be found. The flathead screwdriver should be used to remove the two screws that secure the plate.

Step 4: Following that, the new interlock cam plate should be taken and aligned with the microwave’s holes. The plate should be fastened using the two screws, tightening them with the same screwdriver.

Step 5: Once the new interlock cam plate has been installed, the remainder of your microwave can be reconstructed. The side panels should be slid back into their original positions and the screws should be securely tightened. Then, the wall trim should be reattached and secured with the Phillips screwdriver.

Step 6: Lastly, your microwave should be plugged back in and the functionality of the new interlock cam plate should be verified. The door should be opened and closed several times to confirm that everything operates correctly. If all appears satisfactory, the installation has been successfully completed!
