Installation Steps

Step 1: Your washing machine should be disconnected from the electrical outlet or the power should be switched off at the circuit breaker before working on the appliance.

Step 2: A bucket should be positioned underneath the washing machine, directly beneath the drain pump and motor assembly to collect any water present.

Step 3: The access panel situated at the base of the washing machine should be taken off to reach the drain pump and motor assembly.

Step 4: The drain hose clamps should be identified and detached from the inlet and outlet ports of the drain pump and motor assembly.

Step 5: The drain pump and motor assembly should be grasped and wiggled from side to side to dislodge any debris that may have built up over time, which could hinder removal.

Step 6: When the pump is free, a flathead screwdriver should be utilized to lift the mounting clips or screws that fasten the pump and motor assembly to the washing machine.

Step 7: The pump and motor assembly should be gently extracted and placed to the side.

Step 8: The components of the new pump and motor assembly should be examined to confirm that everything is included and functional.

Step 9: The new assembly should be positioned by attaching the inlet and outlet hoses to their designated ports.

Step 10: The pump and motor assembly should be fastened using the supplied mounting clips or screws.

Step 11: The access panel should be reinstalled and secured with the provided screws.

Step 12: The power supply should be reconnected to the washing machine and a drain cycle should be initiated to verify that the new pump operates correctly.
