The Whirlpool W10493267 Refrigerator Electric Control Board is installed in the main control compartment of the appliance, to control cooling functions and internal electrical activities. This part substitutes a defective or unresponsive control board to make sure the appliance works as per the pre-set temperature and defrost cycles. It does this by accepting information supplied by sensors in the unit, processing the information and sending signals to other parts such as the compressor, fans and defrost system.
