Installation Steps

Step 1: Your Whirlpool washer/dryer is disconnected from the power source and the water supply is turned off.

Step 2: The top panel of the washer/dryer is taken off by loosening the screws located on the back-plate of the unit, followed by the careful pulling of the top panel away.

Step 3: The wiring harness linked to the drive motor is detached by unlocking the tabs and sliding the harness off the motor.

Step 4: The drive motor is extracted by unscrewing the three mounting screws that secure it.

Step 5: The new Whirlpool W10411000 drive motor is positioned and fastened using the three mounting screws.

Step 6: The wiring harness is reattached to the newly installed drive motor, making sure that the locking tabs are pressed into their slots before the other end of the harness is connected.

Step 7: The top panel of the washer/dryer is reinstalled by aligning the back-plate screws, then they are tightened securely.

Step 8: Your Whirlpool washer/dryer is reconnected to the electrical outlet, and then the water supply is activated.

Step 9: The functionality of the Whirlpool washer/dryer is verified to ensure the new motor operates correctly.
