Installation Steps

Step 1: The required tools are to be assembled: Phillips screwdriver, fresh W10120840A Whirlpool Charcoal Filter, and a small bowl or container for the old filter.

Step 2: The refrigerator is to be disconnected from power by unplugging it.

Step 3: The bottom grille cover is to be taken off and the area underneath is to be cleaned with a damp cloth to eliminate any dirt or residue.

Step 4: The filter located in the lower right corner of the refrigerator's interior is to be identified.

Step 5: The old filter is to be detached using the Phillips screwdriver and it is to be extracted from the refrigerator.
