The Vizparts 0980-0306-1671 TV Remote XRS351 transmits infrared signals to the appliance to turn on and off power, choose inputs, turn up and down the volume and navigate through the menu. It is external and facing the IR sensor of the TV, with the buttons assigned to the coded commands that the control circuitry of the set recognizes. The remote is programmed so that it has a transmitter, battery contacts and signal-encoding electronics to produce the proper command signals. It facilitates the interpretation of commands and ensures the same system responsiveness during regular viewing.
