The Vermont 30002816 Stove Damper is used to control the amount of exhaust gases entering the flue of the appliance to regulate draft and efficiency of combustion. It is fitted to the pipe coming out of the stovepipe, and it is supported on a central shaft and then is connected to the body of the appliance by brackets or linkages. The damper includes the air intake, combustion chamber, and flue system of the stove and adjusts the airflow to keep the burning conditions constant. It synchronizes combustion and heat production and aids in regulated fuel use and even temperatures in the stove.
