Installation Steps

Step 1: Initially, the water supply to the refrigerator must be shut off and it must be disconnected from the electrical outlet. Additionally, any food or beverages stored inside the refrigerator must be taken out.

Step 2: The water filter housing situated on the rear side of the refrigerator must be identified. The plastic casing is usually located in the upper right corner. The tabs found on either side of the housing must be pressed and pulled downwards to access the filter compartment.

Step 3: Within the compartment, the U-Line ULANUGGETFILTER NUGGET ICE WATER FILTER will be encountered. The filter must be firmly grasped with both hands and rotated counterclockwise a quarter turn to disengage it. The filter must be pulled down, and it should easily come out.

Step 4: Once the old filter is out, the new filter must be taken and positioned into the filter housing using both hands. It must be pushed upwards until it fits securely, then rotated clockwise a quarter turn to secure it.

Step 5: To achieve optimal performance, the system must be flushed for 15 minutes (or longer) prior to utilizing the new filter. The refrigerator's power must be reconnected. Next, a bowl must be placed beneath the filter and the water must be turned on until the filter is completely filled. After it fills, the water must be turned off and the filter must be let fill again. This procedure must be repeated several times until the filter is fully filled and operating properly.

Step 6: Once the filter has been flushed and is operational, any food and beverages that were removed during the installation must be returned. That's all - the task has been completed!
